I only met Zoe a few times, but she was one of the kindest people ive ever known. She was so welcoming to me and my kids, letting us swim in her pool and visit with her and Bella. She took in my puppy Bella when i could no longer keep her. I am forever greatful to her for that. She gave her the best and happiest life. And im happy to learn that Bella was a comfort to her over the years when she was sick. I am so very sorry for her family. They lost such an amazing person.

Dear Michael, Shane, Sarah
Our heartfelt sympathy to you, Galvin/Murphy families in the passing of your beloved wife and mother.
Words cannot express how privileged our family was to be a part of Zoe's life. We will always be thankful for having such a special friend and treasure our fond memories of special times our families shared when we lived on Jefferson Rd. May you be comforted in knowing how much Zoe meant to our family, especially Kelly and Keith.
Zoe was a wonderful wife and devoted mother to Shane and Sarah, her family meant everything to her. She was one of a kind, to know her was to love her. She was loving, giving, positive, funny, compassionate and intelligent! She had such a wonderful spirit and an infinite strength, which she showed during her illness with grace and dignity.
While our hearts are broken and we will miss her dearly, we know she is in Heaven, along with her loved ones, and resting in the peace of Christ.
We are comforted in knowing all the wonderful family and friends who will continue to surround you with their love and support.
God bless you and grant you the graces to sustain you in your sorrow.
All our love and prayers, "CC", Bill

I am very sorry for your loss Mike and your children. I had not talked with the two of your from 1979 at Boston Latin. I recently had a stroke and memory process was effected like numbers, music, and recent memory. I do however seem to have more ability to recount older memories. The other night, I just woke at three AM and for some unknown reason I went to Google. I remember Zoe as Zoe Murphy and I decided to look for her but it was Zoey Murphy. I got three levels of just seeing a young Zoey Murphy and decided to try one more time. Then I saw Zoe and saw Zoe's picture and the smile I remember for years ago. I was so sorry to see the when I clicked on the picture and that she has just recently passed away. I remember the two of you as the great love story we all knew when we were at Latin and I am sure you had a wonderful marriage and your children. I remember hanging with Zoe and her family in Dorchester watching the Gong show and playing wiffle ball in the driveway.

Again though Mike, I am sorry for your loss and I know you and the kids will see her again in heaven and enjoy her smile and love.

Dear Michael, Shane and Sarah:

I was fortunate enough to have worked with Zoey early in our banking careers. I will remember her eternal optimism, positive upbeat nature and laugh, all of which made an impact on me. She was always happiest when speaking about her family. It was a privilege to have been part of her life for a short time.

My thoughts are with you all and your family.

Posted by Drew Mullert - Mansfield, MA - Dear friend of Tim Galvin   April 02, 2015

From the first day I met you many years ago, I knew that you were a very special person. That infectious laugh of yours along with that beautiful smile lit up the room when you walked in. You were the most caring kind loving person, I think i have ever met. You gave so much and never expected anything in return and through your battle you never gave up and only became stronger. You my dear friend were so courageous through it all and never gave in, you fought til the very end. Mike, Shane and Sarah will miss you dearly no doubt, but they know too that you are in a better place and just knowing that and having the Murphy family and Galvin family surrounding them through this difficult time will help. You can rest easy now, no more suffering and we have to know that you are in a much better place, if anything it is a better place because now you are in it. God has not only gained an angel, he has gained the most sincere angel there ever was. Until our roads cross again, rest in peace, I will miss you. Mike Shane and Sarah our hearts and prayers are with you now and through the days to come. Stay strong we all love you

There are so many words that can describe Zoe: joyful, uplifting, loving, gracious, kind, generous, dedicated, intelligent, funny, caring, positive, beautiful - the list truly can go on. Her life was full and rich. She approached each day will a smile even on the toughest ones. Whether it was on the tennis court, within our book club, amongst other parents at Xaverian or Ursuline, or just hanging out on a Friday night over a glass of wine, Zoe was always the ultimate friend. When she and Michael were in the same room, it was SO evident that they are soul mates. When she shared stories about Shane and Sarah, her love for them would just ooze out of her. When Bella sat on her lap, Zoe was content. Inside my last conversation with Zoe, she looked at me and said "I am at peace. I have been blessed with an incredibly full life." And based on the last 9 years that I have known her, her life reflected those important words. I believe that one way we can all pay tribute to Zoe is to live exactly as she did - with much love and gratitude! xxoo

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." - Melody Beattie

Zoe truly represented all that is good in our world.from her warm smile, infectious laugh, inclusion of many, meaningful notes, interest in others, support to family/friends, and her genuine ability to ask a question and listen to the answer. What an incredible role model she has been to so many -
To Michael, Shane, Sarah and little Bella - may you feel the love and strength sent back to you from so many people who loved Zoe. Her love for you was fierce, omnipresent and forever.
