Bryan D. Beetlestone 84, of Franklin, died peacefully, at his home Wednesday September 14, 2016 with his family at his side, following a battle with brain cancer. He was the beloved husband of the late Janet W. (King) Beetlestone, who died in 2015.

Born September 29, 1931 in Leigh On Sea, England a son of the late Douglas A. and Doris M. (Kynett) Beetlestone, he was a Franklin resident for over 58 years.

He was raised and educated in England, was a member of the British Army and came to the United States when he was a young man. He settled in the Boston area and worked as a popular auto mechanic for the former Crandall-Hicks Company in Wellesley. Upon his retirement he opened Franklin Foreign Cars.

Know to his family as "Mr. Fix It" he would often be seen tinkering around his home and pool. He enjoyed traveling to his cabin in Vermont, camping, building bird feeders and spending time with his family.

Bryan is survived by his children, Pamela Fontan of Mississippi, Gayle Sharron of Plainville, Donald D. Beetlestone of Bellingham, and Dianne Beetlestone of Plainville, a brother Tony J. Beetlestone of England, 12 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren.

He was the brother of the late Beryl M. Craig.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Saturday Sept. 17th, at 4PM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Interment will take place at New East Corinth Cemetery, Vermont on Monday at 1PM.

Calling hours are Sat. from 1-4PM prior to the service.
